Colt DA [Alaskan/Philippines] Model of 1902 This variation of the Colt Model of 1878 DA Army and Frontier Revolver was one of 5000 completed in 1902 to fill a Government order with special design features. These include; .45Colt, 6" barrel, and a very large trigger guard with cerrespondingly long trigger for use by the gloved hand. This gun, #48,0XX, is all correct with strong rifling and a uniform patina. Serial numbers all match including the loading gate. It bears the inspection mark [R.A.C.] of Rinaldo A. Carr on the frame cylinder, and trigger guard. Marked "1902" on right side of frame. Hard black rubber grips. Good mechanical condition. A very hard to find Colt.
