Synopsis: A truly unique Mauser C96 Pre-war Commercial pistol with battle damage reportedly found at the battlefield of Verdun....but who really knows! Description: Mauser C96, Pre-war Commercial, based on features, usual Mauser address on right frame, no other discernible markings or serial numbers. Action completely frozen in place and totally rusted out. Magazine housing suggests entering bullet/shrapnel on right side blowing out much of the left side. Or, then again, it could simply be eaten away by rust. Absolutely impossible to fire or restore. Not a gun, even by ATF's loosest standards. Sold as a paperweight that could better be displayed in a block of epoxy/plexiglass. Condition: Rusted out, dug up pistol that is absolutely not shootable or repairable. We do not want this one back. No return on this "rare collectors item." You bought it, you own it!
