"Receiver dated 1887 and stamped Mk II. Carbine variant with a 22"" barrel chambered for .577/540. D.P. visible on buttstock, forestock and barrel. Repaired crack across the wrist behind the receiver. Metal a mix of grey and deep brown patina. Bore is bright with good rifling. London Small Arms cartouche faint but visible.
