28 inch octagon barrel chambered in 40-60 WCF caliber with a full length magazine tube. Good bore. Barrel and magazine tube retain about 95% bright original blue. Receiver retains some of its original color, it has a mottled but bright appearance vs brown patina. Slight colors on the hammer and lever. Action is smooth and tight. Crescent/ Rifle style buttplate with trap door for cleaning rod etc. I have the research email from Cody Firearms Museum. Overall a nice 1876 at an affordable price point.

Wood is nice & solid with no cracks, buttstock has a shallow hole, looks like a bumble bee or other critter
Receiver was case hardened with some color left, pretty nice under lever, it is still bright instead of browned out
Bluing is very nice on barrel & magazine.
Bore is good
Screws are also nice, showing no signs of tampering
