The Savage 110 is the oldest continuously produced bolt action rifle in North America and is loved by shooters across the continent. This rifle features an aftermarket stainless steel 27" barrel chambered in .243 Winchester Ackley Improved, setup for those who are serious about shooting. Created by P. O. Ackley, this cartridge has a steeper shoulder and blew the sides out, giving about 10% more powder capacity and some small improvement in velocity. The "improved" version of the cartridge, the .243 Ackley, can do everything its parent can do, with more velocity, and greater brass stability thanks to its 40° shoulder.
