Description:
Simson BLE SxS in 12 gauge. Made November 1956 in Suhl, Germany. This example is a scalloped Anson & Deeley-style action with a Greener crossbolt, chamber indicators, ejectors, 28" barrels with fixed chokes "Left - Tight full" and "Right - Full". It has 2 3/4" chambers with a bead front sight and a concave rib marked "SIMSON, SUHL (THURINGEN)". The receiver has decorative game scene engravings with ducks on the left and pheasants on the right and a grouse on the bottom. The stocks are two piece checkered walnut with splinter forend, capped pistol grip, straight comb, cheekpiece, checkered black hard rubber Simson buttplate and a sling swivel in the belly (the other is mounted to the bottom rib forward of the forend). The LOP measures 14.5" from the front trigger to the back of the buttplate. Drop at comb is approximately 1 5/8", drop at heel 2 5/8". 12 Gauge
