Description:
This was Remington's entry level price shotgun, unusual in that it is a solid rib barrel instead of the plain barrel. No engraving- plain uncheckered walnut- and unusual as to condition as these type guns were heavily used in the field for harvesting game for food. This one has a bright and shiny bore and most of the factory bluing remains on the barrel and receiver. Function was perfect. A period pad is installed long ago and still quite soft for a LOP of 14" . This guns uses the browning patents and looks and functions like the famous auto V "humpback". and in fact, some models of these guns during ww2 were referred to as the american browning when no production came from FN. A little on the heavy side but makes for a pleasant gun to shoot. Your hunting buddies won't have one of these! Need a FFL or a C&R and certified funds for immediate prepaid and insured shipment- lower 48.
