The Jagdwaffen Hambrusch Deluxe Heeren Action .243 rifle exemplifies fine Austrian craftsmanship, combining precision engineering with intricate artistry. Produced by the esteemed Jagdwaffen Hambrusch in Ferlach, Austria, this single-shot rifle utilizes the Heeren falling block action, renowned for its smooth operation and accuracy.
This rifle features a 25-inch octagonal barrel with an engraved rib, showcasing the gold inlaid maker's name, serial number, and caliber designation. The bright action is adorned with fine scroll engravings and deep relief chiseled panels, highlighting a gold inlaid chamois against a mountain landscape on the left side and a gold inlaid mouflon ram set in karst on the right. The steel pistol grip cap is similarly engraved, with a gold inlaid roe buck in a forest scene. The rifle is equipped with a manual cocking Heeren type set trigger, an engraved trigger guard with a monogram, and a lever safety on the right.
The walnut stock is finely grained, featuring scroll carving surrounded by intricate checkering, a hog's back comb, and a sloping cheekpiece. It includes an engraved stock magazine capable of holding three cartridges, a rubber recoil pad, and sling swivels. The rifle is fitted with a pivot-mounted Swarovski Habicht Nova 6x42 scope with a No. 4A reticle. The rifle is in very good overall condition, with a clear bore, sharp rifling, smooth action, and a crisp trigger.
