ANTIQUE - Outstanding Cased pair of Silver Banded and Engraved Henry Derringer Pistols , circa 1850's
Excellent condition Overall. with Cased accessories .. Period Walnut case measures 8x10x2.5
with original material in a French style (I believe).
(A).Smallest gun is a Peanut size having a 2 inch barrel and just under 5 inches overall.. with an early
Engraved Silver Pineapple trigger guard.. Deringer Philadel- on the Barrel and the lock plate as well
as the proof 'P'.. Enlaided in the grip looks like Gold(?) yet could be Plated Silver, instead of cap storage.. I've had these several years
and it hasnt tarnished . I never say Perfect because someone always finds something - So I'd classify this as Excellent +.
(B). Larger pistol has a 2 3/4 inch barrel and measures 6 inches overall identical to the other with Silver Bands Pineapple and engraving..
Silver crest on grip and small door for storing caps ..- Same Deringer markings on the lock and Barrel.
very tiny touch spot on the side of the barrel , which looks like a tooth of a vice..
Overall Excellent + also- - yet possibly has been fired at some time in the last 150 years.
