PRICE REDUCTION TO $600.00 This Case V44 Measures slightly less than 14 1/4" overall with a 9 3/8" blade. Blade still retains near all it's original material. Some light sharpening. Light age stains. No corrosion. This knife most likely saw service in the Pacific and was carried. The initials L J S are carved on top of the handle and the name L J Shannon is scratched on the back of the the original sheath which is in very good condition with tight stitching and rivets. This sheath may have had a retaining strap at some point but is not present now. Brass guard has never been polished or buffed and has great patina. There is slight movement noticeable at guard and blade which further indicates use. All in all a nice appearing and honest example of a WWII bowie.
