"Serial No. 10580, circa 1870's, .38RF, 7 5/8"" octagonal barrel. Barrel retains 90% original factory finish, receiver is starting to thin to a grey patina with original blue remaining in protected areas. Bore has light frosting and pitting within the grooves, strong rifling remains. Serial number under the barrel is light due to factory refinish. Grips are marked 414 as the frame which is the conversion assembly number. Grips are good with scattered factory varnish noted. Action indexes correctly with a tight lock up. Great looking early cowboy gun!
