This is a non-import marked rifle that has all matching numbers (including the magazine) and retains 97-98% of the original blue finish that has some minor gray fading and silvering at the muzzle, as well as on the high edges and projections. The bolt has a bright gray patina, and some further gray wear along the handle extension. The stock and handguard are in excellent, almost unissued condition with hardly any handling marks or blemishes in the excellent military oil finish. A small "FR" arsenal recondition mark is present on the top tang at the wrist (Fribourg Arsenal). A lightly worn Swiss military leather sling is installed. This is an excellent example of a desirable Schmidt-Rubin model, and would make a splendid addition to any collection. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
