Description:
Selling my 1949 Winchester 52B sporter with Lyman Alaskan 2 1/2 Scope. I've had this for almost 30 years and it has given me great pleasure. It's not pristine but it's really nice and comfortable. I removed the original Lyman 48 rear sight to install the Lyman Alaskan 2 1/2x scope with crosshair. A great scope and period correct. Lyman 48 is included and shown. Alaskan has period correct leather end caps as shown. The bluing is very good with a small wear area on top of barrel before front sight which i tried to show. The "sporting inscribed" magaine plate is nice but flaky as shown. The bolt was modified for scope clearance years before me.
Rifle has the original super grade swivels and a period correct sling probably by Freeland. The correct Winchester 5 shot magazine is installed.
All in all a great gun, highly accurate with a great bore as well. If you want an original that looks terrific that you can actually shoot you need to consider this one. Ask any questions and ask for additional pictures.
