Description:
This is a standard Worcester production Allen & Thurber Co. 36 caliber Dragoon Pepperbox with an 1837 Patent date. These were popular during the 49er Gold Rush era. There is no real blue, only a plum color on the metal surface. The mechanical function is very good. This is a 6 shot heavy smooth bore Dragoon size pepperbox revolver. This is serial number 255 and is matching numbers. A loaded pepperbox this size would weigh in at about 3 pounds.
