Here is a Smith and Wesson Single Shot 1st model. It has some unique features for a single shot. The serial number is on the bottom of the frame, there are grooves machined in the side of the frame, and the action is not machined for a cylinder. The grips are broken on the back, the serial number on the barrel matches the frame, there is no serial number on the latch.
