Winchester - Model 21, SxS, Robert Swartley Engraved, 20ga. 26" Barrels Choked IC/M.
Engraved and signed by Robert Swartley. Considered one of Americas most prolific and highly detailed engravers! His work being found on the finest guns in the world Fabbri, Purdey, etc. Known his attention to detail on his work. This particular gun has balimo game scenes, left side with setters and pheasants.. right side has a retriever with his master handling a pheasant, with another pheasant in front.. setters and quail on trigger plate. This is an outstanding work of art that very seldom come to market. Highly figured piece of exhibition Walnut! Some of his work is excessive $30 -40k prior to his death. This particular gun is 26in Barrels choked at IC/M, matte rib, pistol grip stock, hard rubber buttplate, gold single selective trigger, auto ejector. The engraving is sharp and clean but miniature,1950s diamond style beavertail. If you appreciate fine engraving thats actually of quality and this is the first Swartley gun that we’ve had come out of collection to go to the market.
