They were produced from around 1870 to 1915. This revolver is UNSTAMPED other than the numerical serial number that is on the butt of the grip, rear of the cylinder and the bottom of the action lever. The serial number dates to between 1880-1883. It has no other known markings. The chambering is also unknown but is believed to either be in .44 S&W American OR in .44 Russian, as they were the most heavily produced caliber models at the time. The grips appear to be original as well as the numbers matching frame, cylinder and action. The front sight looks to have been replaced at some point. The trigger has a nice clean functioning break as well as the hammer and cylinder. This is a historical firearm that could either be left as it is or refurbished to your desire but no matter the choice it will still make for an amazing collection piece. .44 Russian SOLD Antique: Yes Chambers: 6 Metal Condition: "Overall Good with no original finish, no signs of serious pitting/rust, some scratches, scrapes and marks from age/handling and use.
