Description:
For consideration is a unique Canada Colt LE AR-15 carbine in 5.56 NATO. Two aspects of this carbine make it unique....it was made in Canada and delivered to the Michigan State Police in 2006. The upper receiver is of the flat top style that supports mounting of optics or open sights via a removable carry handle. The step cut 16" barrel supports installation of a grenade launcher and bottom of the front sight allows fitting a bayonnet. The 4 position adjustable stock and pistol grip are of standard mil spec style and the forend and vertical grip are from Magpul with M-LOK® slots in the forend. The front sling attachment point is a bracket that clamps to the barrel. The rifle is marked with the desirable “RESTRICTED MILITARY/ GOVERNMENT LAW ENFORCEMENT/ EXPORT USE ONLY” found on earlier production LE6920 rifles. The lower has a dust cover and empty case deflector. At the front bottom of the handguard is a picatinny rail section. Atop the upper receiver is a Sig Romeo 4H red dot and behind it is a Sig Juliet 4 magnifier that can be flipped out of the way when not required. With any service rifle it of course has handling marks consistent with being used in training and going in and out the officer's vehicle. This is an AR-15 with a lot of character and would make an excellent addition to your collection. There is a letter of authenticity from the Colt historian. The battery in the Romeo is good.
