PRE-WW2 GERMAN MAUSER 98 COMMERCIAL 8X57MM MANNLICHER STYLE CARBINE BY R. BESSEL & SOHN. SAGAN. 22” barrel with German smokeless proofs on the left forward receiver ring. Barrel marked “KRUPP-STAHL/CAL. 8X57. Barrel with maker name engraved forward of rear sight. Express ramp front sight and folding two leaf rear. Claw mount bases, set triggers, side safety and bolt safety, flattened bolt and magazine release leaver. Light border engraving overall. Walnut checkered pistol grip, cheek rest Mannlicher style stock with horn butt plate, forend cap and forend spacer. Sling swivels leather sling and muzzle cover. Light use overall with most of the original blue and stock finish. Working order and excellent bore. Fine quality Commercial Mauser 98 carbine.
