The Colt Single Action Army is a family of single-action revolvers chambered in more than 30 different calibers. The standard U.S. military revolver from 1873-1892 the Single Action Army was used in the Mexican-American War among others. The revolvers have either a 5.5 or 7.5 barrel. The Gun That Won the West was also the preferred side arm of General George Patton throughout his career. No Colt revolver has earned greater fame than the single action army -- The Peacemaker.
