Description:
This Marlin Model 27-S Slide Action Takedown was manufactured sometime circa 1913 and remains in excellent overall condition. Wood is solid showing remarkably few scratches and dings with some original finish left on forend and wrist. Stock has darkened with age but shows remarkably beautiful figure under patina. Right side of stock does show some wrinkling finish as if exposed to heat. Marlin "Bullseye" remains intact. Octagon barrel and receiver still show good original blue with a few areas of wear. Original sights remain in good condition with all screws appearing intact and good. Bore needs a good cleaning but also remains very good. This is a very nice older Marlin that would make a nice addition to any collection. .25-20 WCF
