"Serial number 357692. Made in 1948. 38 Special with a 5 ½" barrel. This gun is in near mint condition. This gun comes with a factory letter confirming all features including the plain ivory grips. This gun comes with a wooden case. This may be factory as this case does not look new by any means. The letter says this gun was sold to the “Arms Selling Expense" and shipped to Mr. Graham Anthony, President of Colt Manufacturing Company. It appears these guns were made as gifts. Another gun that was also sold to the Arms Selling Expense and also shipped to Mr. Anthony was presented to FBI director, J. Edgar Hoover.
