For sale is a stunning model 1875 Schofield by Navy Arms Co. It has a 7" barrel and is marked 'US Cavalry Model' on the box. Navy Arms arguably produced some of the finest Schofield replicas and this is a fine example of their work. Fit and finish, bluing, and case coloring on the Navy Arms models are far superior to the modern Uberti or Cimmaron offerings - on par with the Taylors & Co guns. Bluing is in superb condition and is deep and rich. Case color hardened trigger, hammer, top latch, and trigger guard are in perfect, as-new condition. The tip of the barrel does show just a bit of ghosting in the bluing, honest wear from holstering. These Navy Arms Schofields are getting harder and harder to find and you will not find one in better condition. As you can see, I have added several upgrades to this already great revolver - I am selling one of two ways:
The base price of $950 will get you the Schofield with original manufacturer walnut grips and original box (both shown in the photo).
For the ultimate setup, $1,350 gets the perfectly fit and matched (left/right) stag grips (I paid $425 for them) and a custom-built gun belt. Sized to fit a waist from 34" to 39" this thick bridle leather belt has solid brass hardware, 32 45Colt loops, and a full 'civilian flap over' holster. The belt has never been worn, only displayed, and is in like-new condition. The holster and belt were $400. This is an expensive setup for sure but one that really stands out.
