Description:
This is an Ithaca Model 37, 16 Ga. #723744 (1958), 28" Mod choke. The numbers on stamped on both the receiver and barrel since this one was produced before 855,000 and the age of interchangable barrels. All original finish on both metal and wood.
In great shape for a 65 year old shotgun. Not a safe queen but it doesn't look like it was shot much. Shows some handling marks in the stock but no scratches, gouges, or cracks. As you can see in the close up of the top of the receiver, there are some rub marks in the matte finish and a very light ding on the edge where it meets the barrel. The shiny spots in the picture are not scratches in the metal. There are the usual rub marks on the magazine tube from the forearm. Silver front bead and a mirror bore. Overall a nice example of a 16 ga. Model 37 produced in 1958 that was shot very little.
