Description:
Offered is a very nice Winchester "94" in 38-55.  The guns serial number is 123558, giving a manufacturing date of 1898.  Classified as an antique, the gun does not require FFL paper work to be bought or shipped directly to the buyer.
The gun is equipted with a 26" round barrel and weighs 7lbs, 2 oz.  It retains aproximastely 50% of its original blue finish.  The walnut stock has two small chips directly below the hammer on either side, but is otherwise in very good condition and fits tight to the metal where they join.  The walnut forend two small chips on the top where it joins the receiver on the left side and at the front on the right.  None of these chips effect how the gun handles and shoots.
Mechanically the gun is in excellent condition with all the original parts functioning as desighed.  The bore is dark,, but shows no sign of rust or pitting.  The riflings are strong and clean.
Available commercially, the 38-55 round is a fine dear cartridge and it has become quite  popular with "Cowboy Action" shooters.
