Description:
Smith & Wesson
.44 Hand Ejector
.44 S&W Special

6 1/2" Barrel
43oz
Target Grips with Finger Grooves
Mfg. 1949-50
Presentation case.
This gun is a rebuilt gun.
It appears to have started life as a fixed sight gun (possibly a pre model 21) and then had adjustable sights installed.
The barrel is a replacement, it looks like a later style barrel from a model 24.
The frame and cylinder have matching serial numbers and have been refinished, the barrel looks like the original finish.
The grips are later style target grips and have had some reshaping done to them to create finger grooves.
The finish is very good to excellent as re-finished, with minor wear and handling marks, there are some spots of rust on the backstrap.
Bore is bright.
This is not a collectors piece, just a nice shooter.
S&H $60.00
