RARE Smith & Wesson 10-5 revolver chambered in 38 Special, manufactured in 1962. This revolver was issued to a prison guard at the historic Brushy Mountain Penitentiary located in Petros, TN and is in very good condition considering the everyday use it went through.
Bluing shows signs of normal wear from holster use and the grips sow signs of wear from the guard being a right handed shooter (right grip panel has more wear than left).
The left side of the frame has the words \"Brushy Mtn Prison\" neatly inscribed between the cylinder and trigger, and the prison sergeant‚‚s numbers are inscribed on the backstrap of the grip frame.
