Carbine Length “MUSKET BORE” British Musket
Here we present an antique English Brander & Potts Flintlock Musket made circa the early 19th Century in London, England. Martin Brander and Thomas Potts are recorded at 70 Minories and Goodman’s Yard between 1802 and 1827. They were Contractors to Ordnance between 1815 and 1820. These men were notable makers of British Military Brown Bess muskets and were well know for the high-quality product that they manufactured.
The overall condition is good. This musket has been cut down to what is effectively carbine or blunderbuss length. The action is strong. The bore is smooth and dim. The stock has various handling marks and signs of use. There is a short crack under the lock that is stable and immobile.
