Phenomenal Webley & Scott 1902 Fosbery semiautomatic revolver, one of the few that were chambered for .38 ACP, this example with six inch barrel and fixed sights, one of the best condition revolvers extant. Top of rib marked “P. WEBLEY & SON. LONDON & BIRMINGHAM” The left side of top strap “Webley Fosbery”notation. Left side of frame with winged bullet logo followed by the caliber. Full serial number on right side of frame with last three digits repeated on front of matching cylinder. Walnut checkered grips, left panel with the usual brass “SAFE” insert. Rotatable lanyard ring on butt. Synopsis: Webley & Scott, Fosbery 1902, 38 ACP, 1193, A-1863 Condition: Excellent with 98-99% original blue. Faint muzzle wear and usual wear/markings on cylinder. Release latch with faded painted finish, likely from too vigorous cleaning. Less pronounced fading on hammer, safety and trigger. Straps with early toning as carefully photographed. Grips retain most original varnish, the right panel having a small chip at upper right corner. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics.
