Description:
Weatherby started out by rebarreling and restocking actions for resale and as a custom gun. Many of these were Mauser and Sako actions. This appears to be the Southgate guns on a Mauser action. The S/N leads to a year of manufacture of 1956. It features a very dark walnut stock in the Monte Carlo pattern with dark rosewood grip and tip caps, Mauser claw extractor, and internal magazine with hinged floor plate. .300 Weatherby Magnum

Metal Condition: "Good to very good. The blue is nearly 100% complete, but there are a couple of small patches of corrosion.
Wood Condition: Good to very good with a number of shallow scratches and handling marks.
