A standard configuration Astra 700 Special, with fixed sights and usual Eibar-type mid-frame safety and bottom magazine release. Left side of the slide with single line Astra legend reflecting model and caliber. Matching serial numbers on the right side of the slide, right side of the frame, and internally marked on barrel. Proofing 'A' reflecting production in 1927. Original Astra grips and magazine. THIS IS THE EXACT PISTOL PICTURED IN ASTRA AUTOMATIC PISTOLS BY ANTARIS ON PAGE 120! Synopsis: Astra 700 Special, a close copy of the FN 1910 but with an internal hammer, made from 1926-1927, with a total production of 4000 pistols, many earmarked for sale in China. Condition: VG with a wear pattern consistent with mild/moderate use. Bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics.
