During the 2011 Shot Show, Winchester took special orders for the Model 71 from dealers. Made in Japan by Miroku, these rifles are very close replicas of the original Winchester 71, with the exception of the tang safety lever and rebounding hammer. The number made seems to be small, this one is numbered 173. A fine rifle for the collector or hunter wanting a near vintage arm. .348 Winchester
