Description:
Pre 64 Winchester model 70 in 300 H&H. Built in 1943,just before Winchester converted to full wartime production. This rifle has a 26" barrel with a mint bore. The rifle is in excellent original condition retaining 95% of the original blue and wood finishes. The action is smooth and the trigger breaks cleanly at 3 lbs. The stock is sound and retains the original steel buttplate. The bolt is correctly numbered to the rifle. There is one small chip at the back of the cloverleaf tang ( see photo). Easy to repair or shootable as is. This is a solid rifle in remarkable condition for its age. A classic all purpose big game rifle. C&R eligible.
