Sold !!!! Factory engraved Winchester 1873 44-40
Set trigger. $2.00. Engraving. I had bought 4 of these about 25 years ago. They all went to a ranch in Montana. There was 2 engraved with set triggers and 2 just regular octagon rifles. Cody said in the ledger they were all listed together and went to a ranch in Montana.
The speculation was, a father and his son got the engraved guns and maybe a couple ranch foremen got the regular ones. I still have the 2 engraved guns. Selling one. She has seen some use. Still has a very good bore. I've shot it. Functions very good. Can't remember how well it groups. With condition of the bore I'm guessing groups well. I certainly don't mind shooting it if someone gets serious about it.
