With Patent date of 1860, these scarce made Civil War era revolvers were made from 1861 to 1863, and a long 7 1/2" octagonal barrel with much original blue. This is the larger frame that was made by Prescott. This 6 shot revolver has a muzzle that measures .360" or .38 cal Rim~Fire, Action is very stiff from non use.The American walnut grips are perfect, with all the original varnish. No wear evident. Some of these were issied to Union troops but most were not sold as the contract to provide guns for the Union Cause was denied.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
