Description:
Up for sale is a high condition AH Fox Sterlingworth 20 gauge shotgun with 28" barrels. This gun is choked Mod/Full. Double triggers and auto safety. Standard fox drops of 1 9/16" and 2 7/8". LOP at 14.25". This gun has tons of remaining metal finish and also retains the factory wood finish. This gun has not been molested in any way. The only imperfection on this gun aside from minor handling marks is a small chip out of the pistol grip cap. 20 gauge sterlingworth guns in this condition are becoming very scarce. This is a non-ejector gun. Mirror bores. 2.5" chamber. This gun was manufactured sometime between 1928 and 1929 just before Fox moved production to utica, NY under savage arms mfg. this would be a late philly sterlingworth, but still has all the desirable early features.
