A rare custom 30-06 built by the famous gunmaker R.G.Owen. Built in1928 for Von Lengerke & Detmold customer David Bruce. This rifle is fully documented by a Griffin and Howe letter and copies of the VL&D order ledger. This beautiful rifle is built on a 1903 Springfield action. Features include:a quarter rib with two leaf express sights.a trapdoor grip cap and buttplate,a drop floorplate,Lyman rear peepsight and hooded front sight,28 line wrap around checkering,checkered bolt handle,and a horn forend tip. The rifle is in excellent original condition retaining 99% of the original blue and 98% of the original wood finish. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. This is a classic custom rifle from one of the premier rifle builders in this country.A true piece of sporting history. C&R eligible.
