Only 4,096 made from 1806-1808. All original and complete. It is numbered "1648" on top of the barrel in front of the U.S. proof marks. Nice untouched metal, markings and edges. The lock is clearly marked with a "spread eagle and shield/US" in front of the hammer. It is marked "Harpers Ferry/1807" behind it. All of the metal on the pistol has a very untouched light patina on it. All of the brass hardware is also untouched with a darkening mellow color to it. The original wood is also nice with good edges. There are "U.S. Inspectors Marks" on the backside behind the lock. The pistol has a very good action and bore. The 1805 pistol was the first military handgun to be produced by a national armory.
