Description:
General Specs: Anschutz, Year 2018, .22 Hornet, 7lb 11oz, LOP 14 1/8"
Serial Number: 3166866

Offered for your consideration is this unique combination of German engineering and absolutely top class American craftsmanship. Internally this rifle has a Meister Grade Anschutz Model 1771 action firing the .22 Hornet round through a target contoured barrel. The mechanics are classic German precision, but this gun was re-stocked and transformed by Mr. Barry of Canyon Creek Custom with exhibition grade French Walnut in the German Hogs back style including a pancake cheekpiece with shadow line, all finished with a Niedner steel butt plate and schnabel forend. The outstanding checkering and bolt handle engraving was accomplished by Connie Barry and the base plate and trigger guard completed with English scroll by Jessie Kaufmann. It all adds up to an invested $7300 worth of gun and custom refinements that make this a truly stunning piece of art.

This rifle is set up as a single shot; it slows down the shooting process to a series of calm deliberate, almost Zen-like actions of loading, breathing and squeezing the silky smooth trigger and then operating the bolt, dropping in a round and settling in for the next shot. It's a fine way to de-stress and a way to focus the mind onto a singular goal, that of the perfect shot.

The receiver is dovetailed and tapped ready for an optic of your choosing, the .22 Hornet in renowned for its light report and low recoil. Muzzle velocity reaches between 2,500 and 3,100 feet per second making this rifle a delight to shoot and with its graceful lines, a centerpiece to any collection. This rifle comes with original foam encasing, box and manufacturer's cd.
