Description:
Griffin and Howe in 22-250-3000. The barrel is engraved Griffin & Howe Inc New York. It is 26” long and chambered in .22-250-3000. The bore is excellent bright and shiny. The action is a WWI GEW 98 made in Amberg German and is an ex-military rifle. It has double set triggers that function as they should. The stock has very well done hand checkering, the wood to metal fit is very well done and has what appears to me to be a Bishop butt plate. The mid barrel scope mount is right in the middle of the G&H name. On the front of the barrel there are four dimples drilled and blued as if to hold some type of sight or mount. The bolt handle is turned down and reshaped very nicely. The over all stock is well done. There is some basic engraving on the gun that is in the photos. This does not have a G&H “number” on the gun and could possibly be a walk in customer custom job. This is a very nice gun that has some G&H style work but is not up to what we think of as a G&H high end rifle. If my idea of value is not the same as yours, please make an offer.
