The 25.2"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The gun has approx. 98% of its dark British finish. The bolt head is marked 22 and the rear sight has the additional 25-yard graduation. The magazine, correctly, does not have the follower and spring as it was intended that the fired cases would be collected in the empty magazine. The rifle is single loaded. The receiver socket is marked 1955 over a broac arrow over 22 No 2. The top of the barrel Knox form has the BSA logo. The left side of the receiver is marked FTR1954. This stands for Factory Through Repair (rebuild) in 1954. The stock is excellent with no cracks or chips. and minimal usage dents and dings, primarily on the butt. The swivels are present. The action functions correctly. This No. 2 Short Rifle would be a great addition to your British military or 22 training rifle collection. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
