Colt lightning Rifle .38cal has the peep sight along with regular Buckhorn open sight, it is average shape what you would expect for a gun that has been around and used as it should have been, all the wood is good there is a hole drilled in it you can see by the picture, I think it was for oiling I have seen one other with a hole drilled there, gun was made in 1885, Serial # 6639, a nice collectible gun, it shows it was patients by W. H. Elliot
