THIS RIFLE HAS HAD A GREAT HISTORY IN THE FIELD HAVING TAKEN BUFFFALO,LION AND ELEPHANT!
The Super Grade 458 Magnum African Model only produced between 1956 and 1963, all on a special order basis. In total only 1226 African Model rifles were ever produced. Hooded ramp front sight, and special order adjustable Winchester "African" express rear sight made only for the 458 Magnum caliber "African" rifles. The top of the receiver is factory drilled for sight/scope mounting. Jeweled bolt and follower (bolt hand numbered to match), standard markings including the Winchester oval proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech and "-SUPER GRADE-" on the floor plate.
