Cheyenne split horn headdress from Oklahoma. Heavily adorned with split ermin, red stroud, red ochre painting on the back of the black horns. Quilled ties and horse hair tuffs on top of horns. Hawk bells and silk ribbons, beaded brow band. On brain tanned buffalo skull cap with parfleche stiffener. 33"L x 14"W across Horns, 10" Deep. Est. first quarter 20th century.
