Description:
Winchester Pre-War (#444xx) Model 70 in 300 H&H Caliber. Rifle is topped with a Norman Ford & Co
3 x Texan Scope that has a single post reticle and foggy optics. The scope is mounted in Stith
mounts which required no extra holes to be drilled in the rear bridge. Rifle appears to be unaltered
from it's original configuration, with the exception of the need to remove the Lyman 57W to
accommodate the mounting of Stith rear base. Overall the rifle is in good to very good condition; showing
normal hunting use. The stock has numerous nicks and dings. Checkering is still sharp. Bore is excellent
and well cared for. Action smooth functioning and feeds well. Just a good old 300 Mag.
