CIVIL WAR ERA BELGIAN PERCUSSION HAMMER BOXLOCK PERCUSSION DOUBLE BARREL PISTOL CIRCA 1850’S-60’S. 7 ½” o/a with 3” round .40 caliber barrels. Scroll engraved frame. Liege proof on left barrel at the breech. Walnut bag shaped grip. Upper tang screw a modern replacement otherwise all original. Very good overall with original grey/brown patina. Good working order. Many thousands exported to America during the mid 19th Century.
