VINTAGE PUMA “FAHRTENMESSER” 6317 KNIFE W/SHEATH & STAG GRIP W/BROCHURE NOS . You are looking at a rare German made "Puma" brand fixed blade knife and leather sheath w/booklet . The blade is etched; Original Puma, FAHRTEN MESSER. Handarbeit echter rostfreir Pumaster-Stahl. Best. No. 6317 Germany D.B.G.M. Knife is NEW OLD STOCK w/TAG on SHEATH NEVER sharpened. Stag handle w/.800 silver inset for initials . This knife must have been made in the 1950's as it has no serial number on it . The leather sheath is stamped by the tie "Made in Germany". Maybe from the 1950's or 1960's - before made in West Germany logo on sheath . There is still some cosmolene on the knife as it has been stored some 40 - 50 years . Blade is 5 1/2" , Overall is 9 1/2" .
