For sale is an all matching WWII K98 rifle manufactured by Waffenwerke Brunn in Bystrica who used the receiver code DOU. Rifle was manufactured in 1944 and is from the “P” block which puts it around mid-year. All metal and wood is number matching, the number on the inside of the handguard is a light strike but is matching. Metal is in a solid 90% condition, bore is good with no pitting, wood has normal dings and dents for its age. There is a small section of delamination on the stock near the thumb cutout, it’s been there as long as I’ve owned the rifle and hasn’t changed, I believe it was just a poor glue seal during production, spot is pictured. Stock channel is marked with OVM, the serial number and 5. Rifle includes correct wartime site hood and cleaning rod, a nice looking rifle and great addition to any German WWII collection.
No import mark, no peened markings, no reblue, rifle is original WWII condition.
Rifle includes three-day non-firing inspection.
