This is a very nice example of a Walther-made, "ac 44"-coded P.38, manufactured in the "f" block. It is in 98%, original, mint-condition and is all matching. The bore is excellent. As typical of the later war productions at Walther, this pistol shows a less polished surface. However, the function is as flawless as any that were produced in 1940.
This is very much the prime example of a Walther-produced P.38, which by 1944 had overtaken the Luger as the most widely available service pistol in the German army. This gun is all matching, with no import marks. It is a solid, investment-condition P.38.
