A slightly used, 1750 to 2000 rounds, STI DVC O, 9mm, 5.4 inch 2011 Competition Race Gun is for sale. Rounds fired were typically HY-TEK coated, hand-loaded Bayou bullets. VV 3N38 produced excellent power factor, nice grouping ammo. C-MORE Optic is new. The pistol has been used in a few matches, small round count in practice sessions, and more dry fire with snap caps, than anything. The pistol is one of two purchased after my retirement and I realized I wanted to rest my mind rather than hype it up and try to figure out how to shoot the various USPSA courses of fire. It is a wonderful sport.
The 5.4inch TX2 barrel is compensated with a Titanium Nitride finish to increase surface hardness, lubricity, and wear properties. Those familiar with the DVC Open are keenly aware of its responsive handling, textured, enhanced grip, control, and improved ergonomics.
This pistol has been coveted and never abused. No butchered screws or scratches. I protected all high edges of mag-well and base-pads of mags from excessive wear from day one. I used painter's tape on pistol and mag base pads. It has been well maintained. The firing pin, pin spring, and block were replaced annually. I ran buffer pads on the guide rod to minimize stress on the slide. The pistol comes with extra magazines, which are a mix of Gen1 and Gen2 vintage. All mags function properly. Most mags never hit the ground. Magazines are currently tuned as per Dawson Tuning Kit and all the followers and springs are new, Some have Taran Tactical followers for that extra shot. Magazines do not slide lock. Some backup parts can be made available. Bullets, Star-line Brass, VV 3N38, Alliant 7, and Small Pistol Primers can be made available as a separate deal.
